A couple days ago the Singapore government announced Phase 1 of the after Circuit Breaker from June 2nd and for at least 4 weeks, which basically doesn’t change anything for us. Some of the changes are that households can have 2 visitors a day which must be children and/or grandchildren from the same household or Marriage solemnisation can take place in-person, with 10 people attending. Hardly something that would change for us expat.
I needed to be reminded how it all ends in order to get of that Groundhog Day
So just an FYI in case you don’t remember… he break the cycle when he shifts his focus from himself to devoting himself to helping others. And Yes that’s exactly how we get out of this. All of this. Only we are all Bill Murray.
On a side note he learns to play the piano, sculpt ice… I, on the other hand, am just happy to make it to the end of the day with my sanity. #Priorities
I was waiting for my food to be prepared for pickup when I saw this sign on the corner of my eye. Didn’t have a tripod but that never stopped me before. My iPhone, my bag to support it and the empty streets so didn’t have to take into consideration wandering eyes. I had time for one take.
Monday Murals Reminiscing Old Changi Days by Yip Yew Chong
This 37m long mural at Changi Airport Terminal 4 Basement level reminisces the old Changi days before Changi Airport was built in 1970s. From aeroplane-watching at Changi beach, to peeking over the fence of the Royal Air Force Station; From playing ‘tarik upih’ with village kids, to shopping and dining at the variety of shophouses lining Changi Village; The mural transports you to a charming old world brimming with new aspirations.
Instead of taking a picture of the long mural on each side of the corridor I decided to take a picture of each panel and post them over a longer period of time. The murals are so full of details it seems like a waste of the artist work to not give it justice.
I didn’t have to deal with traffic or taxi, I pour myself the exact drink I wanted without being questioned (I don’t really drink, so I feel like I always have to justify myself!) and I was back in my PJ within seconds of saying good bye to the girls.
I can see some bonuses of this lockdown…. ok human warmth and ambiance cannot be substituted however.
