The result of the umbrella winning 😉

It was all worth it… the socking wet hair and the almost ruined leather shoes

I had one umbrella… it was either me or the camera: the camera won.

If “An Inch of Rain is A Foot of Snow” then we would have had a couple feet of snow in a few hours. 😉

And with all the water that have been falling in the past few weeks we would have an amazing ski season 😉

Now you see me. Now you don’t.

I used to play this game with pollution in Beijing, now I do it with the rain in Singapore ;-).

Ok sorry Singapore but I didn’t sign up for this kind of weather.

I’ve been sold Singapore as it was always summer. They never mentioned “Summer in Norway” kind of weather ;-).

I’m so done with the rain!! Ok I have to admit that warm rain isn’t as bad as cold rain…. and yes I know in a few weeks I will be complaining it’s bloody too hot 🙂

When it’s pouring so hard that you are awaken by the drops hitting your windows, you want to crawl back to bed under the cover, with the AC on ice cold to match your mood, as soon as you’ve sent everyone to school and work.

But then life calls you and you remember you’ve lived in Norway for 4 years so you can survive this apocalypse especially as this one is actually a hot apocalypse. 😉

When while you were getting yourself ready to go down to the pool for an hour do uninterrupted reading and when you glance at the living room window you realize half of the city is disappearing before your eyes.

This was not the fog moving in. This was a wall of rain drops so close to each other it reminded me of pollution in Beijing moving thru the city.

Safe to say I didn’t go down to the pool and read in the comfort of my living room.

You know it can rain a lot (and/or the sun hit hard) when your apartment complex has a dedicated cover path that takes you just a few steps away from the Metro entrance.

It was a blessing today since it was pouring rain when I had to get back from a meeting downtown. Meeting place to Metro station via below ground path then Metro station to apartment via covered path and underground parking lot!!!

Verdict: dry umbrella besides raining buckets

Tonight Beijing reminded me why having a scooter in Singapore might not be such a great idea!!

Longest 15km in my life. Caught by the rain (& wind) just as we left the restaurant in the Hutongs.

Let say there was nothing dry on us (except our hair because of our helmets) when we reach our home.

Playing with puddle and giving my over-used-in-Noway-but-under-used-in-China Hunter boots a little spin. Plus I never get to do reflection photography (just coming back to take that picture after seeing it on our way to lunch and the puddle had diminished by half!!)

When you play with the weather in order to have “Military Parade Blue Sky” you have to pay somehow later on.

In order to have blue sky at key moments (national holiday, big internationally events, etc) china has been known to seed clouds. So it typically rains a few days before, then we have amazing blue sky and then it pours after. It’s been pouring!!
