Dropped off J to his 3-week summer camp in the French Alps.
It’s his 7th year there (but last year he did a slightly different one, starting there but then going on an itinerant camp and finishing in Brittany)

We received the kids summer camps brochure.
On offer (among more classic summer camp in France):
* Scandinavia: been there, lived that ✔️
* Singapore (& Borneo): currently living there ✔️
* USA: I know of a cheaper version, ie Family ✔️😂
He will go back to the summer camp he’s been going for the last 6-7 years: adventure in France (we call it intensive French without him realizing it 😉).
Plenty of time for outdoors activities and trying to become more French than his mother and school me on all the cool new slang after 3 weeks of full immersion 😜

Three weeks flew by.
My little bird is back from his summer camp which took him from the Alps to Brittany via central France.
He’s back full of memories, epic adventures (paragliding, horse riding, canyoning, moto riding, drone piloting, via Ferrara, sailing, stand up paddle, surf, diving, etc -I’m tired just typing it!-) and more French, once again, then his own mother 😉
We get 10 days of one on one quality time before my second bird flies back to the nest.
Snail mail is the best.
Adding another kiddo letter from summer camp to the collection I started with C. in 2008!
He’s having a fabulous time, horseback riding, laser shooting, paragliding, canyoning (and that’s only the first week!). Surfing, karting, mini moto, drones are scheduled for next week.
He did add at the end of his letter: “By the way you’r allowed your phone this year. So crap!” I might or might not have had that piece of information when I drop him off!!!
Little brother was also dropped off to his 3-week summer camp.
It’s a multi activities camp and this year it will be itinerant, spending 3 to 5 days at different location around France.
We call it Intense French… he needs to eat, speak and breath in French days and nights. It’s easier every year, then he comes back and think he knows French better than his mama 😂
The 3-week summer camp is over. Time to pick up the kiddos.
The drive back will be fill by stories of their stay.
Until next year.
My annual 3-week vacation aka kiddos’s summer camp started yesterday at 2:30pm (and will end Monday 27th at 10am…. I think I got cheated a couple days this year!!)
They always have a great time (I do too), doing tons of activities (I do nothing!).
And thankfully the weather this year seems a lot better than last year when it pretty much rained the whole time… This year we are under a heat wave but being at 1000m altitude they should be just prefect.
Kids summer camp is over and I’m on my way to go pick them up. It went so fast and I hope they had fun even with the very uncooperative weather this year.
This is one of J’s letter… I love his witty side 🙂
Kiddos are off to their 3-week summer camp. For the first time they won’t be together but are just a couple kilometers away from each other and will see each other a few times as activities are planned together.
Let’s hope the weather cooperate better than when we left them since one of them is sleeping in tents.
By the way, not sure what’s going on with the weather in France but I didn’t come all the way from China to have bad weather and get stuck inside. Besides I only took summer clothes with me, so get with the programs and warm up
