France-Belgium.

A few days ago BBFF (Belgian/Beijing BFF) texted me “I promise if France win I’ll forgive you” I replied not IF but WHEN 😉

No fancy big screen… just daughter, myself, a computer (no tv in our summer house) and a French beer for good luck. See you in the finale. Maybe we can replicate 1998 (and hopefully not 2006)

Apparently wearing the French team shirt is for good luck

Ready for the game.

Iceland might have a slight advantage with this weather over the French.

It’s a beautiful day to be a soccer mom.

Soccer dad is on a plane back from Paris so I had to step up.

I was on tennis lesson duty today since hubby wasn’t back from his Paris business trip.

The tennis courts in the dome at the school are such a blessing when the pollution is high yet on days like today with AQI between 20 & 40 it seems a little sad to be indoors.

We made up by playing football (soccer!) outside on the field for more than an hour with friends who happened to be on the school grounds.

We went to the Bird’s Nest last night (first time back since the 2008 Olympics)

We went to see some men running after a ball.

The Brazilian men won. The Argentinian men lost.

Too bad because we were rooting for Argentina (something to do with us having lived there and having the best souvenir from the country: aka our daughter!)

I heard screaming… I think I recognized screams of joy: France won against Nigeria. See you in 1/4 final now.

Watching France-Nigeria World Cup Soccer game at a bar in Paris and I, personally, got my priorities straight: Saucisson and Baguette!
