After an almost 6-month hiatus I’m back on the water for my outrigger canoe sessions.
I wasn’t as rusty as I thought I would be. Can you spot me?

My boy band
I have lunch with them every week when I’m at my woodworking workshop.
They always ask me if I’m having lunch with them well it’s actually more like an affirmation than a question. They are used to it by now.
It’s not like we talk or anything but…
It’s a funny sight really: me, the white TaiTai, with 4 to 6 local guys, seating around the table among all the local workers in this hawker center in an industrial site. The food stall owners are used to it by now…. I disappear for a few months than show up again.
I wished I could take a picture of us eating.

Wednesday Woodworking Workshop – Week 6
After finding out everything that was not perfect so a few more round of sanding, it’s finally time for the oiling.
Such a different process than my previous workshop as this was when I would take my creation (masterpiece?) home. This time I’m only about 80% done. Next is the sewing.

Wednesday Woodworking Workshop – Week 5
Let’s the sanding begin
40…80…120…240…400 paper grade. A few rounds of each and then when you realize you didn’t do it well enough you have to start over.
Repeating the mantra “I Love Woodworking” works well in that situation 😉

Wednesday Woodworking Workshop – Week 4
“Arrondir les angles” – To smooth things out/over.
This is usually when I question myself for signing up with woodwork classes…. it usually coincides with the wood rasp and “disagreeing” with the teacher about how round the angles should be, but at the end we smooth things out 😉
