We got out of our 2-week quarantine on Monday and Singapore Prime Minister has just announced that schools and non essential businesses will be closed from next week, but tonigh we are celebrating….. my new decade.

The silver lining of all this Corona Virus/COVID-19 debacle is that we could get a last minute, usually have to book months in advance, reservation to La Dame de Pic at the Raffles Hotel. The Chef is Anne Sophie Pic one of the most famous chef in France and who is from my region in France.

When “Let’s Meet In The Middle To Celebrate Our Birthdays” happens to be Paris 😉

“Singapore” & “Canada” who met in “Norway” reunite in “France”… Let’s the party begin (well in 14+ hours… we still need to fly there!)

Been receiving a few of those text messages this week… way to make a girl feel good on her birthday week 😂

So this just happened.

Chloe riding the scooter on her own.

This is the closest she got to “drive” on her 16th birthday.

The beauty of not living in the USA so my heart is at peace for another 2 years 😉

Another spin around the sun completed… This one brought me to a cocktail by the pool overlooking a beach in the Philippines. Not a bad way to turn a year wiser ;-).

This expat life has allowed me to visit so many great places and most importantly meet truly amazing people.

To many more years of adventures.

March seems to be a popular month for birthday celebration.

Another fun lunch/afternoon (because really who can only do just lunch when you are with such a fun bunch!!).

However we really need to spread the weight gain and champagne intake throughout the year. Currently looking for friends who’s birthday do NOT fall in March, April (July and August as well because we are not in Beijing and we have to celebrate in June and we already have too many going away parties to attend). December, January and February birthday applications might be considered but those months are already pretty booked on other parties. 😉

We love celebrating birthdays.

We even love it more when we celebrate them at Temple Restaurant Beijing with a 2-hour lunch and being very well taking care off.

Having friends in high place has its perk. Missing you Pat & Elke.
