There is no better motivation than urgency.

For one of us, it was time related and for the other one it was convenience.

With J leaving Singapore next week and me lacking a car soon after it gave us the motivation to make a quick detour in the west part of Singapore and the university to finally see in person The Hive.

The Hive, also known as the Learning Hub, is a building located in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The S$45 million building was designed by Thomas Heatherwick and completed in 2015. Colloquially, the building is known as the “dim sum basket building” due to its likeness to the steamer baskets used to serve dim sum. [wikipedia]

Almost 2 years later we are back to square one with “Too many places to see (one last time) and too little time”.

Because it’s a little bit out of the way and also a university building, it’s not a crowd favorite to visit but it’s a gorgeous building inside and out plus there’s a few other places around it “Instagramable” 😉

~~~Just a little FYI So for my last 200 days in Singapore I have decided to reblog, in no special order, a post from the 6 years I will have spent on the Little Red Dot. PS: you will then get 2 posts a day!!~~~
