Photo to illustrate that I am in fact a big party animal and made it to midnight!

After posting the New Year Eve photo (also posted on my Facebook & Instagram) most people understood the sarcastic tone but a few were concerned. So to be clear this was a great evening…only think I would change is to be in the same location than hubby and daughter, or if I really had to have one of the children, I would have chosen the foodie one 😂. Photography is how I share my feelings; some people do it with words or with notes I mostly do it through images and a twisted sense of humor.

I’ve never been a big parties goer. I did it in my youth because that’s what you are supposed to do, then you get older and you choose you over the convention.

I’ve never chosen quantity over quality. Small group with deep connection over big group and superficiality. I almost feel like, with the pandemic, the world is starting to align with my inner self.

An ad in Singapore says “Even in a year with less, we found way to be more”. I’m totally in line with this. Instead of thinking, 2020 and 2021 forced us to xyz, let’s rephrase it to it allowed us to xyz. Let’s stop celebrating busy. Busy is not a badge I want to wear. Presence, intention, purpose is the badge I want to wear.

To the ones who spent time walking around the island with me, the ones who spared their time (re)discovering places to photograph, the ones who invited me in their activities, the ones who shared a coffee, a lunch, a dinner, a drink or just a chat. Once or multiple times. For the first time or for the last time. You are greatly appreciated.

And to the one who makes me cry… laughing, from half way around the world, with a screen between us, when I’m feeling good and especially when I’m feeling crappy. Thank you. And also a big thanks for reading every single posts, no matter how many times I post and repost on different platforms. BBFF.

We’ve been through many airports but Koh Samui airport is probably the cutest we’ve been to.

It looks like a resort reception and you get to ride this little paradise bus from the plane to the luggage carrousel.

Christmas vacation has officially started.

Back to exotic paradise like destination.

This was our second time in Koh Samui, and in the space of 7 years we saw how this little “under discovered” piece of paradise got more and more discovered. Its original airport was my all time favorite quaint airport yet to their credit they kept some of the quaintness with the little tram that ferry you from the airplane to the new airport.

*Well I changed my mind. Since it’s vacation time and I cannot travel I want to relive our experiences in Asia with a few pictures.
