Some people take the ferry or charter a boat to go to Lazarus Island, we just power our own boat.
Last outrigger canoe outing of the year. This was the make-up session in case of bad weather, but the weather has been very cooperative even during this monsoon month so coach Denes decided to still have it and make it a celebration (and what a year it’s been with all the restrictions!) with a picnic.
Calories were consumed and promptly lost with the 13.5 km round trip paddling. Not sure how it works with the alcohol* consumption 🤔
Woodworking Workshop – The Crew &
Is it French Merci or English Merci? 😉
GuangJun (owner of Tombalek), Rashid and Ryan who helped me during this, initially 8-week/class turned into 11 weeks/classes, woodworking workshop.
7-Dec-2021: D-194 before departure
I spent 2 years doing woodworking workshop. This was my first completed piece. I did a few other pieces after that first one. (Follow the link above!)
As much as I sometime questioned my sanity for going weeks after weeks and resigning even for more projects I really enjoyed my days at the workshop.
GuangJun started with a small atelier (I was the second batch of the workshop for the chair they taught). I was probably the first female Ang Moh to go and I still remember their face the first day I showed up. Tombalek had become a big workshop with many offers nowadays. So proud (of myself and them)
~~~ Just a little FYI So for my last 200 days in Singapore I have decided to reblog, in no special order, a post from the 6 years I will have spent on the Little Red Dot. I have excluded pictures of our trips because I have already reposted them while we were stuck on our Little island during the past 2 years (& you can find them here!). PS: you will then get 2 posts a day!! ~~~
