The picture on my previous post was taken from the 24th floor of one of these buildings.

Gateway East and West were designed by Architect I.M Pei (among other thing the architect of the glass-and-steel pyramid for the Louvre in Paris)

When your friend ask you if you soule be available to help out fro a photo shoot (for a Charity) and you end up at a place with this view 🥰

This is Kampong Glam area with hipster street Haji Lane and Arab Street lined up with dozen of Eastern restaurants and the Sultan Mosque. I love this juxtaposition of old buildings and new buildings which summarize Singapore so well…. A foot in the future with a foot in traditions.

NB: The road on the right hand corner is called Beach Road…. Because up until the 1870s and 1880s, and before land reclamation, the sea came right up to it, now it’s another 500+ meters/ half a mile away!!
