I don’t even need to physically go to the French embassy to vote nowadays.

This was the first time we got to vote this way.

We received a link with a “identifiant” via the email address we gave when we registered. We also got an code via the mobile number we also gave them.

When we were done voting online, we got another SMS with another code to validate our choice. Internet voting was allowed 1 week prior to the in-person voting day -which was Sunday and closed the day before. And when the vote were in we could verify that our vote was indeed counted. 👍

It was for the “Élections des conseillers des Français de l’étranger et des délégués consulaires” (consular officials who represent the French citizen living in the country -link with the consulate but also our “voice” in Paris)
