How lucky was I to find a wall with a “Thank You & Merci” graffiti on a building with a hint of my age 😉
The photography gods were not on my side for this photo! First I didn’t have the little tripod I usually take with me when I go exploring, so I had to make do with my bag, a book, and some pebbles. Then my AppleWatch, which I use as a remote control for my phone camera, decided that it was out of battery so there was some sweating and maybe a little sw**ring involved. But throw me all the challenges you want and I will prevail… I’m this kind of stubborn 📷
Throw Back 2-Week – “Chaperone” trip April 2016 in Kobe, Japan
And we are back to Solo trips. Well, this one was a Chaperone trip to be more precise, because who would refuse to go along with their daughter’s sports team?! Yes, that’s how kids in international schools roll… they don’t play with neighbor cities or even neighbor states they play with neighboring countries 😉
Very pleasant little trip and while in Kobe, one eats Kobe steak of course 😉
Oh it was also my second earthquake in 12 months!!
So to summarize: This summer I did a Throw Back Thursday of our summer vacations of the past 6 years (because that’s how far back this blog goes!). I revisited the idea again with Throw Back Week with our October Break vacations, then I did another Throw Back Week of our Christmas vacation (but I did it in February – don’t ask!) so now it seems fitting to do it again with our Easter Break vacations (lots of solo trips, and a few family trips).
So once again enjoy the trips down memory lane… for those of you who have been following since the beginning of this blog and for the others the chance to discover old postings 😉
