Friend supporting friend.

Little by little a simili of normal life is taking place. For example, shows with limited capacity and social distancing as you can see.

My friend B. was on stage for the first time doing improv and she was great.

When you are tired of losing your clientele to the restaurant next door, you erect very clear signs 😂

To be fair it’s sometimes difficult to see which table belongs to which restaurants because they all look the same.

Saturday stroll in Kampong Glam is always a treat.

Tonight is Lantern Festival

It’s celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar Chinese calendar. It marks the final day of the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations…. and usually the end of the Buddha Tooth Relic temple and Museum being lit 😉.

I’ll have to wait until next year if I want more pictures of this beautiful red temple in the middle of Chinatown (well at least lit during the night)

Follow the yellow line.

Photography is 50 percent luck and 50 percent anticipation.

If you anticipate… you get lucky.

As I was crossing the road I noticed the yellow car in the corner of my eye waiting at the red light. It was surrounded by other cars but I knew it would start faster than the other cars and thought I could get my shot. I positioned myself and just waited patiently. I got 2 shots before the other cars entered my frame.

Wednesday Wondering (& Wandering)

Art exhibition at The Substation.

Formerly a power distribution centre, this building has been transformed into an arts centre occupied by The Substation, which is an independent, non-profit institution that relies on multiple funding sources (donations, government funding, etc) for its operations. It also rents out space for art exhibitions and its dance studio for dance classes, etc

I love how different the buildings in singapore can be.

This is how Street gangs are created.

It all starts innocently as a toddler get-together in a park where everyone arrive in their sweet ride and their chauffeur. 😂

NB: this photo was taken exactly a year ago, way before social distancing and face masking world. It seems so long ago. Wonder how “street gangs” will be formed now? 😜

Monday murals that are not murals

This could be mistaken for a black and white picture but it is not. #StreetArt

When fitting room cabine hands you your Sunday Quote on a platter.

This has been my motto for the past 23 years of this expat life. Make the most of it.

Getting lost in the city alleys is still my favorite thing to do.

Take another route on your usual commute not only it would seem less boring but you might encounter little hidden treasures, plus it will awaken your senses.

Want to go to the movie?

Might as well support the local independent theater.

I was the first one to enter the Red room at (our favorite place) The Projector but it was a full house (well with social distancing that is).

The combination of wide angle and night feature on my iPhone12MaxPro is amazing.
