Another beautiful sunset enjoyed from the upper deck of the boat watching thousands upon thousands fruit flying bats leaving the mangrove to go hunt during the night on the mainland. They will all come back at sunrise to rest in the mangrove during the day.

No photos or even video could truly record the magical moment.

Day 2 – October 22.

After enjoying the “nightlife” in Labuan Bajo we are now embarking on a 3-day boat cruise around Komodo National Park.

We will be Islands hoping between the 3 main islands of the National Park: Komodo, Padar and Rinca and 26 smaller ones.

The National Park was founded in 1989 to protect the Komodo dragon, the world’s largest lizard. In 1991 the National Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
