When the whole country panic because the Air Quality Index is slightly above 100 🙄

It’s the talk of the town on all the expat forums/Facebook Groups. Should we wear mask? Is it even safe to exercise outside? Should we keep the kids home and not send them to school?

To be fair, unlike China, Singapore’s got nothing to do with the pollution. They are only on the receiving end of it from the burning of crops/forests in Indonesia and the unfavorable direction of the wind.

I was going to link some of the posts about AQI from our time in China but there were too many… however this little gem (here) was worth sharing…. all the complexity of living in Beijing 😉
