The little white mark (it’s a Stone quarry) on the mountain on the horizon marks La Rivière and our summer house. It’s also the road to the South of France and La Vallée du Rhône.

After a tough little hike up in the woods we reached Notre Dame de Vouise.

Ninety more steps to climb to enjoy the view of the valley and the surrounding mountains.

Lost teenager in the woods.

Two theories:

1) while stepping foot outside of the darkness of his bedroom, he was blinded by the sunshine and took a wrong turn.

2) mother forced him to show her that he was still capable of standing upright and putting a foot in from of the other i.e. walking

Verdict: Teenagers do survive several hours in nature without WiFi. They start angry but then gave in and sprint in front of you like little goats. However they will never admit they enjoy it. “Yeah that was ok” will be the highest compliment you will receive.
