Monday Murals.

Tuan Yuan Bak Kut Teh (团缘肉骨茶) is located at Block 127 Kim Tian Road (Tiong Bahru area) and was created in August 2018.

The mural tells the olden day story of Teochew Bak Kut Teh, when it was a simple staple mostly eaten by the coolies (laborers) at Clarke Quay, to restore their energy after a hard day’s work. In this mural, one will find many familiar details of olden day crockeries, cooking method and even the postures of the laborers.

NB: I’m going to take a 2-week Monday Murals posting break during Christmas vacation. I’ll be back with them in January with a couple more from Yip Yew Chong paintings and then move on to others artists
