For me the food is the heart of a culture, a country.
Try the local food and you’ll understand the country, the culture.
Street food is a great way to understand the core.

A few more street art scene.

But there are so many to discover. It makes you see the historical preserved city center with a different eye and you end up walking on street you might not have ventured out to find them.

Once again the key to kids not complaining too much is to make it fun.
Starting earlier made the walk a lot more pleasant and by the time it was 2pm I was also ready to go back to the hotel for a little rest.

The cocktail after dinner was well deserved.

What can I say we like local, authentic food.
And you cannot go more local and authentic than street food.
However it was a good sight on my part not to add the extra flavor (hotness!) in my dish.

The first one (top left) is a more recent one from Ernest Zacharevic.
I thought the next two (top right and bottom left) were but are not (Heavily inspired by his style though).

Today focus was on the street arts around George Town

In 2012, as part of the George Town Festival of Arts and Culture, Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic created a series of 6 wall paintings depicting local culture, inhabitants and lifestyles. They now stand as celebrated cultural landmarks of George Town, with Children on a Bicycle being one of the most photographed spots in the city centre.

Those shoes were made for walking, and did they walk today!!

I love those tiles in front of some of the houses and in the 5-foot passageway.
Singapore have tons of them too and they make great mosaic collage
