I’m officially done with both of my classes at LaSalle, College of the Arts: Ceramics for Beginners and Portrait Photography.

What am I going to do with all this free time now? 😂

When you realize that the “I’m retired and need to find thing to do” kinda shy (only) guy in your ceramics class drives a Ferrari 😉

“Don’t judge a book by its cover” is particularly true in Asia.

Bonus picture: Made a little detour to go admire the view on top of Juletong Tower and made (very quickly, I was with inpatient people!) one of my little planet

For some reason my friends associate me with walks… and since I’m a people pleaser and can’t say no ;-).
I’ve been wanting to do this Tree top walk at the north of the MacRitchie reservoir for a while but each time my walking group did it I had other commitments.
It’s now a done deal thanks to the frenchy friends… but I might have to go back because I didn’t see any monkeys (who steal your stuff!!)

So we got our first batch of glaze firing back.

We didn’t use our best pieces to test so we could try out layering colors and see the effect (colors don’t really blend)

We were told that what you paint is not really what you get and it was the only part he couldn’t be sure what it will end up. Glazing can actually be a whole other class and you can change the whole look of a piece with it.

We finally celebrated Thanksgiving with friends today. Because it’s a lot easier, when you don’t live in the USA, to do so on a Saturday night.

Thanksgiving done… now let’s concentrate on Christmas!

That’s how close I got to celebrate Thanksgiving yesterday: Turkey sandwich and pumpkin soup (with croutons!)

Thanksgiving will be celebrated with friends on Saturday because yesterday and today is business as usual here in Singapore, i.e early wake up call for sport practice and after school activities runs. No time to cook and sit for hours to eat.

Second ceramics update of the week.
Nothing much exciting going on in my life apart from 2 ceramics classes and 2 photography classes per week.

Today we try our hands on glazing and we actually found that part quite challenging because nothing we did was a true representation of what the end products, after firing, would look like.

I’ve been told that those should come out pretty good (hard to believe when you look at these!!)
