There is more than 4000 sculptures of Buddha in the Tam Ting Cave.

For the most part they are carved from wood or moulded from a tree resin then coated in a red or black lacquer and covered in gold leaf.

The Ban Pan Ou cave above this cave was pitch-dark and the iPhone was no match so no pictures. (just picture a dark cave full of Buddha 😉).
