Kuang/Kouang Si Waterfall is one of the, if not THE, highlight of any visit to Luang Prabang.

I did a lot of research (go early to avoid the crowd, hike to the top to avoid the crowd and have a different perspective, …), looked at so many pictures (oooh and wow at the turquoise colors pools) and then the night before we were scheduled to go the skies opened and pour all the water it could…

Calm waterfalls cascading into turquoise-color pools was not meant to be ;-).

Each country in Asia has its own version of the TukTuk, all more colorful than the next one and all adapted to that specific country. .

We skipped this option to go visit the kuangsi Waterfalls which are only 29 kilometers from Luang Prabang but is a 1 hour ride on a car!!
